August 1st. It’s Haiku Time.

Writing this stuff for 30 days in a row is hard, y’all.

haikuLast month I realized something about me, something which I already knew: If I’m going to start a big creative thing, I have to start on the first of the month, a Monday or late at night. And I have to have something on TV, a movie or whatever that I’ve seen a thousand times. Usually it’s Titanic.

Just now I put on Footloose, but it’s the remake and I’ve seen enough writhing asses in the last five minutes then a human being should. That ain’t gonna work.

Footloose is playing.
Preacher’s daughter, kinda wild-
No dancing allowed.

Microwaving food
Oops, there go the lights. It’s dark.
Breaker, spider-webs!

Back to the new piece.
It’s about love and stars, babe
Look up. Watch them dance.

That was fun… back to love/marriage/infatuation/kissing/and love again ❤ ❤ ❤
